Pre-requisites:
Qualification:
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science or related field (Microbiology, Chemistry, Biochemistry) with 5 years’ experience
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of related - laboratory working experience
Knowledge and proven track in fats and oils business.
Knowledge about (food)microbiology
Good oral and written skills in English. The candidate must be able to communicate about the projects in technical language with international colleagues over the phone/by e-mail/presentations
Previous working experience with Oxidative Stability instrument (OSI), Oxygen Bomb, HPLC, GCMS, LCMS and UV Spectrophotometer and statistical software.
Experience in method development, product development, and applied research projects
Experience with writing scientific reports and publications
Experience with project management
Experience in independently evaluating and interpreting results.
Computer literate

Responsibilities and Tasks:
1. Perform testing of Customer Lab Services (CLS) requests to meet agreed deadline and write the Laboratory Report for release to Techni-Sales team.
2. Provide technical advice pertaining to CLS Requests.
3. Develop/Implement new and improved test methods for the department in order to support sales of existing /new products
4. Maintain CLS database, files, and log books
5. Assist in meeting the Strategic Plans for R&D’s CLS section (including publishing of Black Book papers, White Papers, journals, developing field tests kits, etc)
6. Maintain good laboratory practices in recording data, calibration of equipment to ensure accuracy of results, general laboratory maintenance and disposal.
7. Trouble-shooting and problem solving of product complaint and trial setup.
8. Ensure good working conditions for the laboratory and that all repairs are done on time.
9. Journal search, apply research to our current needs, develop initial method, test functionality, validate, put into use
10. Development/installation/validation of methods (including the use of statistical analysis)
